Understand the 1500€ threshold
Updated over 2 months ago

👉 It's not a limit blocking on your account but rather a threshold from which we will ask you for proof of activity.

Irrespective of the €1,500 threshold and in accordance with our General Terms and Conditions signed when your account was created, we may also ask you for supporting documents at any time as part of our regulatory obligations relating to customer knowledge.

As a reminder, the Moneco account cannot be used for purposes listed here.

📌 Why is Moneco asking me for proof?

We need proof of the source of funds to meet our regulatory obligations on customer knowledge as soon as you receive more than €1,500 incoming (single or cumulative amount) on your Moneco account during the last 30 days.

📌 What are the accepted proofs of activity?

We accept recent income proofs:

  • Pay slip

  • Employment contract

  • Tax assessment notice

  • Proof of payment of social benefits (unemployment, RSA...)

  • Proof of student grant or student allowance

  • Pay slip and/or tax assessment of your parents if you are a student

  • Gains cashed in your name on a betting site (e.g., Bet365)

  • ...

We accept foreign proofs if they are written or translated into French or English if they come with a proof of residence in France.

✅ SPECIAL CASES

🤞 Money received from family or friends

You can receive money from your family or friends. However, we may ask for the economic reason for the transfer and an identity document from your close one to prove that you know them.

In the case of debt repayment, we may ask for a letter of acknowledgment of debt including the following elements:

  • Date of acknowledgment of debt

  • Name, first name, address, date, and place of birth of the debtor and the creditor

  • Amount of the loan, indicated in figures and letters

  • Date on which the payment of the debt is due

  • Signature of the debtor

  • Identity document of the debtor accompanied by this acknowledgment of debt

🤞 Cryptocurrencies

The Moneco account can be used to cash your winnings from a wallet in your name, and the Moneco card allows you to make purchases on crypto sites.

We can therefore accept Binance wallet statements or other platforms if they justify a transfer from a wallet in your name to your Moneco account.

The Moneco account cannot be used for crypto or P2P trading.

🤞 Freelancers and self-employed individuals

We can accept an external account statement in your name accompanied by invoices for fees or other proofs of activity.

It is not possible to cash your fees or sales directly into your Moneco account as this is considered professional use of the account.

🤞 Dropshipping, E-commerce, and affiliate marketing

We can accept an external account statement in your name accompanied by service provision invoices or sales for the sums collected on your external account and transferred to your Moneco account.
